Open Question: Harry Potter theme park vacation packages?
I am planning a trip for my family of 4 for 7 days during our kids christmas vacation We have a party of 2 adults 2 kids to the Harry potter theme park for the 3rd week in December. We want to claim the 4 day package deal which is 285 an adult. Then we will be spending the the relax of the vacation exploring the local areas with a rented car. I really need to receive the best deal possible as this is a once in a lifetime chance for us and we can not afford a travel agent so I need to know the truth about the following things: 1. Can you really receive a cheaper deal for flights hotels and rentals if you book on certain days? 2. If so what days are they? 3.Is it cheaper to book separate or every together? 4. Is there a rental care company that is a lot cheaper then the others? 5. We do not care about what the hotel offers as we will only be there to snooze (Again we plan to make the most out of this as it is once in a lifetime chance and don't want to waste a minute of our time. but, I am curious if the better hotels really are better choices? I may have my calculations wrong but, it seems as though it is cheaper to purchase the package without air then just go to Expedia to receive the flight? We really really need to receive the most for our money so any and every help would be great Thank you!

Voting Question: Did body shop screw me and my insurance company?
Hi, This past Feb I had a collision with a deer which my insurance covered, the insurance company clip a check to replace front fender due to a hole in it, repair ,paint molding ect...It took the body store longer than they expected and stated they were waiting on the fender which extended past my rental coverage, when they finished the car looked good.Well here it is 7 months later and my fender has developed a raised area showing a outline of body filler.I had a pic on my cell of the hole in the fender prior to the repair and the spot is in the same area as this body filler repair,so they patched it up.Is it to tardy to do anything? I trusted these guys to replaced my fender and do a good job seeing that's what they were paid to do

Voting Question: I received the Ohio random proof of insurance check?
My vehicle was damaged in an accident, it was an older car, so it was not worth fixing. So 5 days after the accident got a new vehicle. For about a month, while waiting for the titles from the bank, my damaged vehicle was sitting in my apartment's parking lot, with the tags still on it. My new vehicle was on temp tags until I received the title, as stated before. When I bought the new car, I took the old one off my policy and added the new one. I received the Ohio random proof of insurance check, and it's asking for proof on my old, for a date after I had removed it from the policy. So now they're saying I have to jump through a whole bunch of hoops to prove it was inoperable, like a letterhead from a mechanic (which I never took it to a mechanic. I knew it was totaled.) My rental agreement states I must have tags and registration on my vehicle if it sits in the lot, so until I could my new tags on my new car, the old car sat in the lot with the tags on it. Now they're saying they're going to suspend my license! I didn't steer that vehicle, it was damaged, what can I do? I'm a law abiding citizen, and this is what I receive. I sold the vehicle to a scrap company, the same day I transferred the tags.

Resolved Question: How would you feel if I started "charging for my services"?
I don't mean it. I'm just trying to give this guy a taste of his possess medicine, for trying to force me into bed yesterday (I mean...he was arguing on the phonth me about why I should just have sex with...and being very ridiculous...might I add. So yesterday, I said, "Okay, I'll have sex with you. Pay me." And he said "I'm not paying you?! That's very low!" Today he apologized by text for last night. I sent him a text this evening saying, "I'll milk you dry every once in 2 weeks if you will pay for my car space rental. It costs 150 a month. I'd say you're getting a mighty fine deal. Bed and breakfast included. Wow." look...he used to arrive over to "hang out". Our nights would always turn into sex...and later on I found out that he NEVER intended to hang out. Sex was always the ONLY THING on his agenda every ALONG. And yet he dares to deny that he is using me for sex. He won't even bring me to the movies or introduce me to his friends! The only pay-back I can do now I some sarcasm (look over.) 6 months of this sh*t. 6 bloody months of being his little whore. I'd say I have some payments overdue from him by now.

Resolved Question: Would you pay for my rent if I had sex with you?
How would you react if I sent you a text saying, "I'll milk you dry every once in 2 weeks if you pay for my car space rental."? You are 25, and you work, so you have an income. This guy and I have a sexual past, but these days I am busy and since we're not in a relationship, I don't have time for him. But he calls up occasionally hoping for a booty call...and yesterday he called and texted trying to receive me to let him arrive over to mine for some action. I just don't want sound ridiculous. I'm seriously considering whoring myself to him. (I don't normally have sex in general.) Car space rental...i'm gonna tell him it's $140 a month. (It's actually $100.)

Resolved Question: In a car accident, need advice. Experiences?
I was in a car accident yesterday, my tiny car that was t-boned by a big truck. The lady was in her eighties and had her eyes checked earlier that morning; this was quite apparent as her pupils were dilated and she had brown liquid "leaking" from there. "I didn't look you at every," she said, even though there was nothing obscuring her view. She was charged and my car was towed. I called my insurance company and filed a claim. They said I would be contacted about the claim "soon" but I received no phone call yesterday and it's nearing 3 pm now, still no phone call. I have not been given the option for a rental, so I'm paying out of my possess pocket to receive to work. Should I contact my insurance company again or continue to wait? What can I expect if my car is not suitable for fixing? She hit it pretty bad. I live in Ontario.

Voting Question: How difficult is it to drive in the snow?
Flying to Colorado in February and will need to receive a rental car at the airport. I've never driven in snow in my life, never been anywhere that had more than 1" of snow - I'm from Mississippi. I'm guessing we will be taking the major highways (from Denver to Breckenridge). Ive got lots of questions... Do they keep these roads cleared?? Will the rental cars at the airport be equiped to steer through the snow? Do I really need an SUV or would a regular fullsize car be ok? What else do I need to know about this? What about the mountainous areas? Going up hill and down hill etc. Taking one of the shuttles from the airport really isn't really an option; I could rent 2 cars for what it costs to have someone steer us!

Resolved Question: Why do you have to jump through hoops to get food assistance?
A close pal of mine is in need of food assistance, and I looked up on line for her what she has to do to receive it, and she needs to provide proof of identity for herself and every her family who live in her home, she needs birth certificates and social security cards for everyone in her home, she needs pay stubs for the last 8 weeks for everyone, she needs proof that she lives where she does, her rental agreement, her electric bills, her phone bills, her car payments, etc, etc. Why do they require these things? Is there a place she can go in the central NY area where she doesn't have to bring anything with her? A place where she can just pick up food for herself and her kids, not be judged, and leave? Voting Question: Can I (20 yrs old) rent a car through insurance while my car is being repaired?
I little while back I walked out to my parked car from a quick Target trip to find someone had scraped every along the side of my car while backing out of their spot. My Acura RSX (a two door car) suffered paint damage and shallow denting from the driver's side door to about an inch past my rear tire well. I am dropping my car off at the car-body store tomorrow and I'm sure the repairs will take a bit of time so I'm going to need a rental. What I forgot to take into account is that I am only 20 years old and most rental agencies require you be at least 21 (25 if you don't want to pay a huge fee) to rent from them. My insurance agency closed by the time I realized my dilemma, so I can't ask them. Also, I live alone in Ohio with no family members within 2000 miles, and no one else who can rent the car for me, and no one to ferry me around while my car is being repaired. Has anyone faced this type of situation before? Will I be able to rent the car since it will be going through my insurance company (Mercury, a California based insurer), or am I basically shit out of luck?

Voting Question: My friend driving the car which be rented by me in Enterprise meet accident, what can i do?
The whole process is following: (In Canada) I reserve a full size car from Enterprise on Aug, 13, 2010, and I rented a car from Enterprise on Aug, 21, 2010, At that day, the agent of Enterprise told me they did not have a full size car available, so they rent me a SUV (However, In Enterprise Policy, a SUV is not suppose to rent to a people who is below 25 years old even they charge the below age fee), I accept that cause I have my schedule for trip. I signed the contract that said I can not let anybody else steer the car except me. (I am looking the contract very carefully, it point out there is no other driver can steer this car) Yesterday, Aug 29, When I reach in local, I suppose to return the car, So I let my pal steer the rented SUV, and I steer my possess car, she was following me. however, She made a mistake that she was pushing the gas when she suppose to press the break. So, she was hitting tree, the car is deeply accident, the front bumper has a big dishing. The Driver airbag is arrive out. There is several witness there and call the police, the police came, and took her license's number down and car's insurance as well. A tiny car which included police report number be given. no tickets or fine be given. Police said we can leave and the rental company will take care every of that. After my pal went to the hospital, I tried Three things. First, I called enterprise this morning, the company agent said the damage can not be covered cause I signed a contract which means I can not let someone else steer the car. Also, I called credit card company, they said there is a good chance the damage may not be covered, because I already brought the coverage from enterprise, but the agent asked a lot of details and told me there is judge will call me next day,but he said it is really difficult to cover my damage. (I saw the CIBC AERO GOLD VISA policies online, which point out that I must to declines the coverage of Enterprise first, but I am not, I do not know anything) Finally, I called my possess car insurance company (TD insurance), the agent from there told me it won't be covered. It is a 2010 ford escape Limited car, only 1,6000 KM, I am afraid that the rental company will write off the car. 1. Do I still have a chance to have insurance to cover anything? (Visa or Enterprise) 2. Is this matter will effect my possess car insurance? 3. The only mistake that Enterprise made is they can not rent a SUV to a people who is below 25 years old. however, they rented to me. can this point being a advantage when we negotiate to the Enterprise? 4. Should I hire a lawyer to deal with anything, is that will be helpful? or nothing will be changed. Please let me know. Thanks so much

Resolved Question: Do you think this is worth going to court over, if not, how else should I proceed?
I moved out of my townhouse on July 31, 2010. My lease wasn't up until Sept 30, 2010 but I followed MN state law statue 504b.206 regarding domestic abuse to receive the heck out of there. I followed the policies (I went the battered womens middle for help), cleaned the apt before I left, returned my keys. My deposit was $782. MN law states this: "REFUND OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT At the end of the tenancy, a landlord must return a tenant’s security deposit plus simple, non-compounded interest, (141) or give the tenant a written explanation as to why the deposit (or any part of the deposit) will not be returned. The landlord must do this within 21 days after the day the tenancy ends, provided that the tenant has given the landlord a forwarding address. If a tenant has to leave because the building is condemned, the landlord must return the deposit within five days after the tenant leaves, and after receipt of the tenant’s new address or delivery instructions (unless the condemnation was due to the tenant’s willful, malicious or irresponsible conduct). (142) If the landlord does not return the deposit or return an explana tion in the time allowed, the landlord must pay the tenant a penalty equal to the amount withheld and interest and also pay the tenant the amount of the deposit and interest wrongfully withheld. (143) Minnesota law allows a landlord to withhold from a security deposit only the amount necessary for unpaid rent (144), damages to the rental unit beyond ordinary wear and tear (145), or other money the tenant owes to the landlord below an agreement (e.g. water bills). (146) When a landlord’s interest in the property ends (for example, because of death, foreclosure, or contract for deed cancellation), the security deposit must be transferred to either the new owner or returned to the tenant. This must be done within 60 days after the current landlord’s interest in the property ends or when the new landlord is required to return the security deposit below the rules discussed earlier, whichever is the earlier time. (147) If a landlord does not return or transfer the deposit, the court may penalize the landlord $200 for each deposit not returned or transferred. (148) " I have drafted a letter to my landlord AND corporate. I do NOT really want to go to court if I don't have to, but I DO want my 782 back. There is NO reason for them to keep ANY of it, even if they felt they had to, I still didn't receive a letter. Should I just stick with my letter and wish they send me the 782 plus $200 for their lateness, or should I just take them to court? I know my landlord wasnt aware of the MN statute regarding me moving out early, but I followed the law to a T, had the BWC help me with it every and even gave my landlord copies of the statute and everything (saying she had to return the deposit). I think she still thinks she can keep it because i broke my lease??? Not sure. Im frustrated because its a lot of money, and my car just broke down and I have 3 kids and need that $$ to receive my car fixed!!!!! P.S. I am NOT concerned about getting the 3x or 2x rent or whatever, I just want what is fair, and that is my $782 deposit back. I don't want people to think I am lawsuit glad or anything. Thought an extra $1500 would be nice ad def could use it, I just want my deposit!!

Voting Question: Common law married, does he have to pay palimomy?
My husband and I are common law married and we've been together for 2 and a half years. When we got together I quit my job and we had a verbal agreement that he would take care of the bills and money and I would take care of his home and his kids. He has 4 kids and at the time they every lived with him. I do everything having to do with taking care of the home and kids. I cook, clean, do laundry, take the kids to school and sports and anywhere else they need to go, Ive helped with rental properties and his jobs. I now have a part time job but he still makes way more than I do. Everything is also in his name and the majority of things we have he has bought. I had a car when we got together but we sold it and he did help pay off the loan. But part of our agreement was that he would pay for it and I would play the mom role. Now we have a car in both of are names and we split the car payment. But that is the only thing with my name on it. I have tried to work it out many times but Im afraid this is one of those situations where it cant be saved. Weve been to counseling many times and it cant work. If I decide to leave does he have to give me anything (palimony) or am I left with nothing? I dont want to be a money hungry person, but I have put my life on hold for the past two and half years to cater to him and his kids. I dont want to take his properties but I think I deserve a fair amount for everything that I have done and put up with. Any help would be appreciated. We live in the state of Kansas and yes Kansas does still recognize common law marriage. We have been engaged almost as long as we've been together. We file our taxes together as husband and wife. I am on his insurance ( health and car) as wife. Our cell phone company has me as wife. His kids call me step mom as so do their teachers. And its easy for people to arrive on here to be rude when you dont know the whole situation. Common Law Marriage is the same as being married without having a license. I would adore to be married to this man, but his actions and words make it impossible. I have given my every to this relationship so you can make comments telling me to receive a job and nonsense but you dont know the details. I have a job and I take care of his kids. i know they are not mine but I treat them as they are. I simply asked a question so if you are going to be rude about then then please do not leave comments.

Open Question: Is there anything I can do to make my insurance continue to pay for my rental?
I was hit by another person, and they had no insurance. My car has been in the store for a little over a month now, and my rental car coverage was up two days ago. I have been in constant contact with the garage, and they have told me that although they physically showed the adjuster every issue they claimed needed fixed, he still "did not look the damage." So, he has been out to give six separate supplements to replace parts they knew about from the beginning. This should have taken a week, maybe two, but it has taken over a month because of this. I think it is SO RIDICULOUS!!! I cannot afford to pay for a rental car right now, after the deductible and not being able to work because of my injuries. Is there anything I can do? If I had another adjuster or insurance company, this probably would not have happened.

Resolved Question: New Zealand insurance, has this happened to you?
About a month ago an American tourist pulled out infront of me causing an accident. The police, the tourist and myself every agreed that he was in the wrong as he did not indicate or give way to traffic coming straight through. After swapping information and filling out forms for his insurance he told me he would make a report to the rental car company when he got down to Wellington. We were every very nice to this tourist, the cop gave him a warning instead of a ticket and I helped him out to find the nearest Repco (he needed a bungy to close the boot) and made sure he was every ok before sorting myself out (i was 14 weeks pregnant) Here we are a month later and I just found out that he did not make a report in Wellington... he instead waited until the end of his holiday, dropped the car off at the rental car company in Auckland after hours and took off back to America! The rental car company's insurance broker is now saying that they will not pay out because this tourist needed to fill out a report, because he didnt they have no knowledge of the accident and will not pay out. We had rung the rental car company AND the insurance broker on the day of the accident and were told by them that they expected him to report to them in Wellington, so they had some knowledge and I would assume they noticed the car was damaged when they got to work the next day and saw it every smashed up??!!?? This wouldnt be a problem, except our possess insurance had lapsed 2 days before the accident (sick also add for ppl not in new zealand, you are not required to have insurance here and if the accident is not your fault then it is the other persons insurance that must pay out anyway) I know we would win if it went to court, but it doesnt seem very fair that I should have to go to such extreme measures.... makes me not want to be as trusting to the next tourist I meet either, which is a shame. Has anything like this happened to you? How long did it take for the issue to resolve? Yea... had the insurance been in my name I would have kept it up to date... sadly the car is actually owned by my boyfriend and his mom Im having the car and insurance put in my name as soon as this mess it sorted... that way I will know everything is done.

Open Question: Taking a Rental Car to the DMV?
Hi, I'm 16 and I can take my driving exam for my license. The problem is I can't steer big cars. I've had a lot of difficulty driving them. My parents possess one car which is a Minivan and it has a lot of problems. Is there anyway my parents could rent a car from Enterprise or a some rental car company and give me it to take to the DMV? I'm not spoiled or anything but my parents even agree that this car will fail the test. So am i allowed to receive a rental car for my exam?

Resolved Question: How long after an accident do I have to wait before I get a rental car?
I was hit on the drivers side and my car had to be towed. I'm a college student and have a part time job so I need transportation and that was my only car. I know nothing of the process because I've been in an accident before. A police report was filed and I called my insurance company but it's been two days and I haven't heard from them(insurance company). I have no other choice but to miss work since I have a broken arm(result of the accident) and at my job I need use of both of them(I have notified them so they know I'm not just missing work). But I could still go to class and record the lectures/notes but don't have a way to receive there. I also don't currently have a way to receive back and forth from the doctor. Since the accident wasn't my fault(the lady who hit me ran a red light on her side--mines was green),shouldn't her insurance pay for my rental car? Or should mines provide a rental? How long does it usually take to receive everything sorted out so I can receive a rental? What am I supposed to do?

Open Question: Will I have trouble financing a car due to high credit card balances?
My husband and I both have credit scores of 753. He is an engineer. I am a stay at home mom and student. And we have perfect car payment history. We ordered a built to order Volvo and will need to obtain financing when it's built for $40K. We recently experienced a hardship when we lost a tenant in a rental property and needed every kinds of repairs. It has sat empty every summer since the property manager did not price it to rent. and someone cranked up the air so we've paid giant electric bills. we finally got a renter today. in the meantime we have managed to run up $25K in credit card debt. most of that is on a 0% interest and things are looking up. we still have plenty of open credit. BUT will this high balance prevent us from getting a zero down car loan? we are fine with the standard 5.9%. great advice but too tardy. car was ordered before the hardship and credit card balances won't be paid before we need to obtain the financing. the question is in the now. getting financing with that credit and that balance right now. He makes 100K

Resolved Question: Traveling by rental car or train in Europe?
Our school is planning a trip to Europe and we're having trouble deciding between renting a van for the entire length of the trip or riding the train. We're planning on visiting London, Caen, Giverny, Paris, Zurich, Milan, Nice, and Barcelona, in that order. I've heard several opinions on cars vs. train. On one hand, we have a jam-packed schedule and a car would be nice so we didn't have to follow the rail schedule. But in the end it will arrive down to which method is cheaper. Your opinions? Thanks!

Voting Question: Does Florida Condo Law apply to condos with under 10 units (rental policy question)?
I am trying to place a tenant in a Florida condo community of 6 units. They have no written rental policy or application, per their manager. They originally asked me to send them the tenant’s name, email address, and if they had any pets. She told me at this time that tiny pets were permitted. They came back with the facts that they did not want the pet and the tenant’s second car. She has now given the pet away and the second car is her visiting son’s, who lives in Miami. After this, they stated they need to run a background check. I asked them how they were going to do this with nothing other than the tenant’s name and email address. The manager stated that they have never done this before, that there are new owners involved, and that these new changes (pets, background checks) are every new surprises they are throwing at her. It should also be noted that this couple is Hispanic, and I am starting to feel that this may be the reason for the new rental rules (an issue for Fair Housing, I know). My question is, since the condo is below 10 units, the manager is stating that normal rules do not apply to them, and that they are able to make up rental regulations as they go along—is this true? While I hold a CAM license, I am not practicing, but this certainly does not sound right to me.

Resolved Question: I'm being sued by State Farm.?
My son, riding a 2010 yamaha scooter wasn't paying attention coming over a tiny hill and came in contact with the rear of a 1994 Lincoln Towncar at roughly 20 mph. Contact was the left rear and left a dent in the trunk, broke the left rear tail lens and a dent in the rear left fender. The scooter's damage: 2 broken mirrors and broken instrument panel. It was still running, ridable and largely intact. The scooter was actually just purchased the previous day and wasn't insured nor was it required to be. Knowing this, I expected to pay for the damages out of pocket which I did research on the cost of a new hood, tail lenses and fender (or repair to the existing fender). Keep in mind, we're talking about a fender bender...both vehicles can be driven away from the scene. I came up with around $1700 including reasonable labor costs for damages on the car by calling dealerships and researching parts online. And then I added a reasonable cost for a rental car for a week adding an additional $600 bring the total to $2300. The traffic officer made and estimate of about $3000 on the incident report and my estimate is at the low end as I can't possibly account for everything. At this point, I'm expecting a letter from the insurance company with the amount at which time I would pay off as much as I could in a lump sum and possibly setup a payment plan for the relax. Instead, I receive a letter from a lawyer representing as "surogee" State Farm demanding I send payment of $6000+ or contact them to make payment arrangements. Since that amount came as a complete shock, I contact the lawyer right away and requested information to substantiate the $6000+ claim. i.e. photos, estimates, insurance adjusters report, actual receipts, etc. The lawyer called me back the next day and said he'd receive it out in the mail to me. 5 weeks later, I had received nothing. So I faxed the same lawyer requesting the same information again so that I at least had a record of contacting him aside from the phone calls. He calls back the same day stating, I'm sure I sent the information but I'll receive that out to you right away. 5 days later, he files the law suit. I must also add, the owner of the vehicle is joined in the suit with State Farm. I then took the suit to my lawyer who will represent me in the case. To date: I've seen no evidence to substantiate what I believe to be an excessive claim and as you can probably determine, the lawyer representing state farm had no intentions of providing anything I had requested even though evidence is the basis for any claim. If the claim is legit, what's the problem with providing the proof. You can't just take a piece of paper or letter into court and say Mr. Doe owes me $6000 for damages without evidence of Actual damages. Am I missing something here?

Resolved Question: Why are South Koreans such insane drivers?
So far - in East Asia - I have driven rental cars in South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and CENTRAL China (Wuhan - not Shanghai or Beijing). The driving that frustrates me the most is in South Korea, and especially around Seoul. I can understand why traffic in Manila is terrible - that's a third-world city. But Seoul is far more developed. It is a wealthy city. I expected the drivers to be more like the Japanese - fairly organized. Nope! SK drivers act like Filipino drivers or Thai drivers despite being in a first-world country! Why???

Resolved Question: what do you guys do for car rentals in Cairo?
i'm going to Cairo by mid Sept inshaAllah, i need to rent a car when i arrive at the airport. Well known agents (e.g. Hertz, budget, and Avis) would only give you a hint on what types of vehicles do they have but their websites would never allow you to reserve anything neither would give you a price, i really don't know how does it work with them overthere, how would i make sure that i find a car to rent when i arrive? i've also been searching the web for Egyptian car rental companies.. it seems to be -i don't know- none, i'm a little bit confused about this, what do you guys do for car rentals in Cairo? Also what is the average daily price for the ordinary gas grade? Wow.. looks like a real adventure,
